Our History
In 1995, Dr. Scott Wilson, observed that not only did patients have different injuries and conditions; they also had different needs and did not respond the same to treatment or share the same ultimate health goals. It was clear to Dr. Wilson - patients needed access to more resources and an environment where they would succeed in achieving their wellness goals. As Scott encountered young, energetic associates who shared his vision, he partnered with them in their clinics and soon the group had a partner network of 12 clinics in and around the Toronto area which they called Physiomed®.
Physiomed® continued to grow and today offers clients access to a variety of on-site services including physical therapy, chiropractic, X-ray, massage therapy, clinical exercise, rehabilitation, orthotic therapy, and compression therapy. Far more than operating as a clinic with limited services, Physiomed® is based on the foundation of “clinical conditioning”; a system that enhances your performance by finding potential problems, fixing existing conditions and making appropriate changes to your wellness regime and lifestyle.
In 2007, we realized that the systems and processes we had put into place with the partners constituted a valuable methodology that could be shaped into a franchise model for practicing clinicians, practitioners looking to start their own clinic, or even business people looking to own a healthcare business. The partner clinics were converted to franchises, third party clinics joined the group and converted to the Brand and new ‘start-up’ clinics began opening. Today, the number of clinics continues to grow.
Starting in 2010, this unique and successful business model expanded even further into and around Illinois and Michigan in order to grow throughout the entire United States. The development of these new franchises will be named and marketed as Paradon Health. However, both Physiomed® and Paradon Health will share the same systems, processes and philosophies, ensuring the highest levels of quality and success.
